Your first workspace

Once you have Copperbar installed, start with your own project’s Git repository already checked out on your machine. See installation and availability if you do not yet have the app.

  1. Open Copperbar and add your project by selecting its local repository path.
  2. Create a workspace for a specific task. Copperbar creates a separate Git worktree and branch so its files stay separate from other tasks.
  3. Select an installed agent and describe the change you want.
  4. Review the changes and run your project’s checks before committing or creating a pull request.

A worktree separates files and Git state. It is not a security sandbox: an agent or project command still runs with your user account’s permissions.

Finish safely

Save or commit work you want to keep before archiving an owned workspace. Copperbar refuses to archive a dirty owned workspace. Imported Conductor workspaces are attached in place; removing them from Copperbar does not remove their files.

Next: configure your project.
